We just received confirmation from the Zoning office that the rezoning case originally scheduled to be heard tomorrow has been postponed. Our understanding is that the case will be heard in July.
Mr. Sullivan has confirmed via email the postponement and Mr. Vega from the Zoning Commission has confirmed with a phone call this afternoon.

Our HOA monthly meeting will be next Wednesday, June 12th, 7 pm, at the Oak Meadow United Methodist Church (same as our Annual meetings). One of the topics to be discussed will be the proposed rezoning along NW Military to allow a Firestone to be built. We have invited people from Mr. Sullivan’s office and Reed Williams’ office to attend.
Normally, there are not enough residents attending monthly meetings to require a sign-up sheet and a time limit to speak and we are going to proceed like we normally do. However, if there are quite a few people in attendance who show up and would like to speak, we will then pass around a sign up sheet to make sure that everyone who would like to speak has a chance to do so.

In reference to Zoning case Z2013125 CD for a conditional use for auto and light truck repair at 13338 Northwest Military Hwy; Zoning Commissioner Tiller asked that the commission grant a 30day continuance for June 18 to allow the Castle Hills Forest HOA board go back out and contact there residents and inform them of the status of this zoning request. Please feel free to share this information with other residents. The case will be reheard on Tuesday June 18, 2012, at 1:00PM located at 1901 S. Alamo in the Cliff Morton Room.

A notice about suspicious people/behavior in our neighborhood:
Last Friday there were 2 reports of a suspicious man in a red car in our neighborhood. As a general reminder, PLEASE report all suspicious behavior to the police. If you feel that you are in danger, call 911 immediately. As a neighborhood, we need to be vigilant when we are out and about–don’t make yourself an easy target.
Don’t distract yourself by being on the phone or playing loud music when walking or running. Let someone know your planned route and try not to go out after dark by yourself. Even though our neighborhood is a very safe one, it is still better to be safe than sorry.
